Avenand, custom built for her first owners, was commissioned in June of 2000 in San Francisco. She is designed as a seaworthy dual purpose yacht for either long-distance blue water cruising or costal cruising and day trips. For the last eight years Avenand has been sailed exclusively in the fresh waters of the Great Lakes for both day sailing and cruising in Lake Michigan, Lake Huron and the North Channel. Both the previous and current owners have optimized the cruising comfort and performance of Avenand, adding many features and comforts to enhance her original design.  I have the complete in water and out of water month by month history available for her next owner.
