NEPTUNE was initially conceived and built by a very knowledgeable and experienced cruising couple who, based on their previous boat ownership, knew exactly what was important for a comfortable, capable solid cruising boat. They made numerous trips to the builder years to insure their dream was delivered.
Current owners purchased the boat for extended offshore and transatlantic cruising. She was brought north and stored in a heated shed at the well respected Burr Brothers Yard in Marion, MA to await the start of their voyage. While at Burrs, they asked the yard to go through the boat with a list of suggestions to fine tune and tweak things that might need attention or could be improved.
Due to an unexpected change in the owner’s plans she is offered for sail bottom painted, topsides waxed and ready for launching.
Finished with the desirable teak and satin varnish, she exudes the quality with which she was built. The unique custom study design creates a private, airy, 2-cabin guest suite forward, with a head, stall shower. With its curved settee, 6-person dining table, 2 built-in easy chairs and hidden entertainment center, the main cabin provides ample room for relaxing and hospitality, as well as a comfortable sea-berth. The long, 2-person portside galley is bright, spacious and convenient underway. The navigation area and bookcases are to starboard, next to the companionway.
Forward V berths with generous storage beneath, hanging locker and other storage lockers and drawers. Aft to port is a head with separate stall shower.
A very well thought out and custom office is between the main saloon and forward cabin. The desk was fashioned in a manner that it could be used as a berth with the addition of fabricated mattress.
The galley inhabits the walkway to the aft cabin allowing for great counter space and ample storage with lockers above and below, in and outboard. With a double stainless sink and oven, teak spice rack, separate fridge, freezer, icemaker and trash compactor, everything today's seafaring chef could possibly want or need is available--even room for an assistant!
The nav station sits next to the companionway to starboard and is large and extensively equipped with the state-of-the art instruments. A comfortable upholstered seat, drawer, locker and bookcase storage make it an ideal spot.
The spacious cockpit is equipped with a hard dodger, stowable custom Bimini and full cockpit enclosure. Cushions and pillows, a foldaway teak table with removable cup holder, added lighting and awnings enhance the comfort of "the family room" of the yacht when at anchor. Underway, sails are set, shortened and stowed without leaving the cockpit, facilitated by electric winches, instruments, repeaters and hydraulic controls are all within reach.
Hull and deck are E-glass and roving with a Divinycell foam core, using polyester resin. Lead bolt on keel. The bottom has an epoxy barrier. Teak laid decks and fixed dodger. Stainless steel double anchor roller on stemhead.
