The Azimut 39 has an especially attractive and dynamic outside line, with the deckhouse marked by large electrically operated elliptical windows. In addition, the two typical Azimut oval windows increase the interior lighting and visibility for they are fitted at the same level as the interior dinette settees. The boat's trim and maneuverability are excellent, thanks to the deep- V hull with a 17° deadrise aft and with variable transverse sections. The yacht is fitted with 4-blade propellers in a shallow tunnel cutout, in-line transmission and is powered by 325-hp Caterpillar engines for a top speeds of 30 knots and cruising speeds of 26 knots even in slight to moderate seas. The possibility of a slip and membership at Coronado Cays YC in San Diego exists for this vessel.
The two dramatic living spaces of this yacht are the saloon and the flybridge. The former connects through a large sliding door to the aft deck, but is open and airy in all conditions. It has a dining settee on the starboard side, a companion settee and cabinetry on the port side. The galley down arangement is open to this area while the internal helm allows complete control of the yacht in inclement weather and an easy station for operations. The flybridge has ample seating at the helm with duplicate controls, radar, chart plotter and autopilot. With the bimini deployed, the flybridge is comfortable for operation in all but the most inclement weather. The upper helm is located so that both the bow and the stern can be easily seen for easy docking and manuevering in tight spaces. The master suite has a large queen sized bed accessable from both sides and an ensuite master head with enclosed full shower stall. The guest cabin has twin bunks with a connecting door to the second head to enable privacy for all.
