Fine Fleur has been designed for fast ocean passages and if you want a trip around the world. The designer JAC de RIDDER and the shipyard, VELS& Partners guarantee a high quality. Because the construction is in wood/epoxy/carbon, the yacht is very light and strong. Mast, boom, spinnaker pole and outboard lift are made of carbon. The deep fin keel and great stability, that can be increased by ballast tanks; give the yacht a very great and comfortable (not too much heel) speed to windward and the light displacement makes the yacht surfing on a downwind course. Everything concerning comfort (freezer -20 degrees, perfect fridge and stove) is on board. The ship is a real cruiser-racer. Fine Fleur was competitive in the Heineken race (St. Maarten) in racing one. The owner and his wife, both 77 years can sail the yacht together on racing speed by use of the ballast tanks. They put ten men on the rail.
