This boat is a well-kept example of the top-end Privilege range of cruising catamarans. She has been looked after well by the owners who reluctantly sell due to pressures of a growing family and an expanding business.
Fandango is an unusual daggerboard version for extra performance upwind, yet with stub keels for taking the ground. Don't be fooled by the age of this boat, she has been looked after well with a full refit in 2008, which includes new engines, complete re-wiring, hatches, etc. She has just completed delivery from Grenada to St. Maartin, so very much in commission and available for trial sail with a bona fide buyer.
Known faults are: PVC valves on watermaker need replacing; lower edges of rudders were scraped on recent light grounding; inverter presently inop; stbd engine has small starting fault. The sail cover, sunscreen, lazybag and window covers will need replacing, presumably to the colour of the new owner's choice. The mainsail and genoa are tired, but useable.
Having personally owned a new Privilege 495 (evolved from 465 but with longer transoms) for 2 years and been the UK Privilege UK Distributor for 12 years, we can say this design makes an ideal world cruiser, with nimble performance, much higher-than-average standard of accommodation and very sea-kindly behaviour.
