Hywel Price the designer of this yacht was an interesting character, originally born in Chester, with a career that spanned racing motor cycles to re-building crashed RAF aircraft, working in a car factory, training as a master carpenter and working in the theatre before settling in Bristol.
Price had throughout his life enjoyed sailing old gaffers around the UK coastline and fishing for lobster in the Isle of Man
Bristol is where he took over a boat yard and was responsible for the design of Icelander boats as well as designing and building one of the first yachts to take part in the Falmouth to Azores and back race in 1975.
Hywel Price made a major contribution to the marine industry with his initiative designs and built a number of boats using different materials before his death in 2012.
This yacht is designed for high latitude cruising and has been rigged for short handed sailing.
The current owner has owned this yacht since September 2008 and has carried out the following additional works:-
