Design and Construction
The Sunbeam 33 was designed with exceptional comfort and safety in mind with a design that balances sea worthiness, good accommodation and outstanding sailing qualities.
With a 38% ballast ratio she is a stiff yacht and the balanced rudder design delivers stability and maneuverability making for a fast, comfortable passage - even if you are sailing short handed.
The fine entry and broader stern add to the stability and performance in a sea way.
The traditional design and manufacturing techniques of hand layup, double skin construction with roving stringers, laminated bulkheads, a reinforced hull/keel join, an isophthalic gel coat and anti-collision reinforcement designed into the bow sections add up to a stiff and resilient hull.
This Sunbeam 33 was epoxy coated underwater in 2006
