Lots to Like and Priced Right!
Exceptional is the best Description when a boat is in Excellent Condition, well equipped, super clean with a very functional layout with low hours on a pair of Cummins Diesels. (Under 400 hours-barely broken in) You will be hard-pressed to find anything this nice with near new engines in the suggested price range. If you have been shopping, then you know where this one stands.
Lien Hwa is a Well Built Multi-Functional Luxury Yacht. The inclusion of a Cockpit Deck at Water Level provides a useful platform for fishing, diving or simply the safe and convenient movement to and from the vessel on the boat tender. There are many boats with similar aft cabins and sundecks but without the cockpit, you are missing a very important design component. As you shop, keep this in mind. It not only makes for better overall use but it will add value in terms of re-sale.
Cummins 330 (6BTA5.9-M2) is the Most Updated Engines found in the 47' Lien Hwa. This engine has a good performance history and was preceded by 3208 Caterpillar Diesels...both are very dependabel and good builder choices. Other engines like the Lehman 120 HP's are specially ordered. While these classic trawler engines are not able to provide the optional speeds of the Cummins or the Caterpillars, they provide frugal fuel consumption at a crusing speed of about 8 knots. The Cummins and Caterpillar versions are capable of speeds in ther range of 16-18 knots cruising, but still capable of more economical fuel consumption in the 8-10 knot range. Having the option for or the "need for speed" is something to consider when sorting out your boat options. We think having the option makes the best sense for local or long range cruising.
The Photo Essay Explains the Layout which provides a lot of square footage when you add up the sundeck, flying bridge, cockpit , salon, galley, master and guest staterooms. The flexibility as well as the seperation of the staterooms (forward and aft), each with their own heads is ideal for guest and owner privacy...something lacking in sedans, convertibles and sportfishing vessel where the sleeping and bathroom quarters are all pushed into the bow.
All the Equipment, Electronics and Machinery you would expect on a well-designed and outfitted vessel...from Engines to Tender Davit System to Generator to Marine heating & Air Conditioning to Inverter to a Full Electronics Spectrum to your Entertainment Components. It's all very lightly used and there's nothing to do but step on board and go. (You can't say that with many boats that have issues ranging from cosmetic to mechanical that include after-market projects and expenses. That's not what fun is all about...right?)

If you are working with your broker our offer of a "free haul-out and general survey" would not apply but we welcome all co-operative broker sales. With this listing, we are offering reimbursement to you for the cost of your general (not mechanical) survey, when you buy directly from us. If this vessel is not the right boat for your needs, we shop all broker inventories and extend the offer of a free haul-out and/or free general survey, depending on the price point of your purchase, regardless of whose listing.

"I wanted to express my sincere thanks for ALL the time and work you dedicated to finding and closing the deal on my newly purchased 200 Hunter 460 sailboat. I have been shopping for a sailboat for a couple of years and called several brokers inquiring about their listings. All of them took my name and number, and none ever called me back. I was shocked when my first call to you was nearly an hour long conversation about what I was looking for and what type of sailing I planned to do. Your knowledge and experience with boating and brokering was comforting.
Over the past several months, you sent me specs on several boats to consider; each with an impressive evaluation. There's no doubt the boat you highly recommended and I selected was the best deal available for my needs.
II also want to say thank you for your honest and candid opinions about each of the boats we viewed. It's refreshing to have a broker point out things that are wrong with a boat, and things that should be changed or upgraded. Specifically, you spent ab estimated 15 or more hours on my boat inspecting it in the water, sea trial, haul-out and survey.
You handled the sale with my interest at hand, and everything went very smooth. I've owned the boat for 3 weeks now, and you continue to be an available asset helping me get maintenance and find other sources of information.
My family and I are enjoying smooth sailing, thanks to you. You have my highest recommendation.
