"Shinook" is a 27 foot cruising yacht with deep safe cockpit, shallow draft, long keel with winged base and inboard Volvo Penta engine. Her keel ballast ratio makes her very stable and an ideal choice for those with a young family wishing to get into yacht ownership. She can sleep 4 in comfort over two cabins and has a separate heads compartment with sea toilet. Galley is adequate and features a two burner gas hob with grill and a 12V ice box for perishables.
Deck stepped mast with all lines led aft. Good suit of sails including semi battened main and roller furling genoa. She is well equipped in both safety and navigation equipment. These include a colour chart plotter, wind speed/direction, VHF and a deck mounted life raft. Below decks is in super condition with recent varnish to woodwork.

Vessel powered by an extremely economical inboard Volvo Penta 2002
This 18hp, raw water cooled unit is fitted with a reduction gearbox driving a bronze propeller.
Engine is housed beneath the cockpit sole and can be accessed from the front and above.
Single lever engine control mounted in cockpit and engine start panel with protective stainless steel guard.
Bank of two 115 amph batteries mounted in cockpit locker. These are brand new and recharged via the engine alternator.
Boat has a shore power cable and ring main.

Deck stepped, Bermudan cutter rigged yacht with self tacking staysail and roller furling headsail.
Fully battened tan coloured mainsail mounted in lazy bag on boom.
Stainless steel standing rigging and terylene running rigging in good condition.
Lewmar self tailing sheet winches and coachroof mounted halyard winches.
Sails include the main, furling genoa, furling jib. spinnaker and cutter sail.
Accommodation and layout
Below decks is bright and airy thanks to the double saloon doors, large port lights and deck hatch. The headlining is easy clean GRP with teak battens. The interior joinery is teak and mahogany faced ply which has been recently varnished and in super condition.
There is a galley to port with slide out 2-burner hob and grill. Small sink with foot or 12V pumped fresh water and a cool-box with lid. There is a 12V fridge fitted where the hanging wardrobe is, so this can be removed if the space is needed.
Opposite galley is the chart area and switch panel. The chart table slides in and out as required.
The saloon settees double as berths and have blue coloured fabric coverings. The central table is removable and can be used in the cockpit.
Forward of the saloon bulkhead is a heads compartment with sea toilet and sink and a hanging space opposite. In the bow is a double berth with well upholstered cushions.
