"KIKI" is a welded steel trawler built by a fisherman/boat builder as his 83rd. boat. The hull is long and lean with raked bow, rounded forefoot, long straight keel with skeg extension below the prop and supporting the lower rudder bearing. The hull sections have deep deadrise and easy round bilges.

The deck is on three levels. Raised aft deck, a 6" step down to side decks around the house and pilothouse then an 11" step up to the fordeck. The foredeck is 12' long and has the main anchor in a bow roller over the stemhead with chain aft to a hydraulic drum windlass. An emergency escape hatch for the forward cabin is to starboard on the foredeck. The pilothouse is 14' long and 9' wide with windows forward and on both port and starboard.

The mast is mounted aft of the pilothouse. Aft on the starboard side of the house is a double door to the interior. A 4' tall, 10' long 8' wide trunk cabin follows the pilothouse. An emergency escape hatch is on the back wall of the cabin. The aft deck is is 5' long and has an aluminum watertight hatch to the lazerette.

The boat was originally built as a commercial fishing boat in 1996-97 and was converted to a pleasure boat by the present owners in 1999. They have cruised through Washington's San Juan Islands, Puget Sound, Gulf Islands, Columbia's Desolation Sound and the Inside Passage to Alaska. When she was converted to pleasure use, KIKI retained much of the rugged appeal associated with her initial purpose. Going aboard some boats is a lot like stepping into a fancy hotel suite and boaters who prefer a pampered and luxurious style afoat would be an unlikely match for the "Comfortable Summer Cabin" environment found aboard KIKI. Give her credit for charm and appreciate her authentic style, but don't look for pretense or snob appeal among her attributes. She's more of a Budweiser-from-the-bottle sort of gal than a sipper of hundred-buck wines from crystal stemware,

The owners presently live out of state and have not been able to make use of the boat for some time. The photos contained in this spec sheet are older. The condition of the electronics and other equipment on board are uncertain.

This vessel is very durable and rugged being built as a shrimp trawler in the Gulf of Alaska and shortly after converted to a pleasure craft. She is built to take a licking with quarter-inch thick structural steel frames and 3/16 steel bulkheads sheathed in a 3/16" steel hull. The deck house and mast are steel as well.

Powered by a single 130 HP Mitsubishi diesel engine with approximately 1398 hrs. SMOH in 1997. See full specs for complete detail and photos. Owner will consider financing with agreeable terms.
