BABE was originally built for an owner who was quite tall. The forward berth is over 7’± long and headroom is 6’4”± throughout. The hull is solid hand laid fiberglass of alternate layers of matt and woven fiberglass. Thickness of the hull varies from 3/8” to ¾” at high stress areas, such as the stringers and as much as 1 ½” in areas requiring even more, such as rudder port bearings. The white superstructure is made up of hand laid fiberglass and utilizes end grain balsa core for structural rigidity and weight saving. New white PVC rub rail and brightly varnished teak toe rails.

Single Caterpillar 3126TA, 420-hp, 2:1 reduction gear, Dahl fuel filter, Nibral 5-blade propeller. Engine was pulled when fuel tanks (saddle 104 each total capacity of 208 gallons) were replaced (in 2015) and engine & coolers were cleaned and serviced.
SPEED: Cruises 17± knots @ 2,400 rpm, maximum 21± knots @ 2,825.
Fuel capacity is 208 gallons total in two new (2015) aluminum 104 gallon tanks. Water capacity is 72 gallons total in two 36-gallon PVC tanks. Holding tank capacity is 15 gallons.
12 and 110-volt systems, custom Wilbur electric distribution panel with multiple circuit breakers, three gel 8D marine batteries, two solar panels mounted on the overhead with charge distributor in the pilot house. New (2015) Xantrex Freedom SW 2012 inverter. The vessel is well equipped with an alternator, running lights, cabin lights, engine room lights and navigation lights.
Sleeps a total of four, two in over sized vee-berth (7’± long on center line) and two in the salon on a pull out settee. There is a head with separate over sized shower. Interior joiner work is teak with satin varnish finish, with a newly added teak overhead hand rail in the pilothouse and a new (2016) varnished teak and holly cabin sole. The interior fabric is tan and green Sunbrella plaid upholstery. The forward cabin has a vee-berth (solid vee) which contains lockers and trap doors under berths. There is a hanging locker and one bureau with shelves. The head is located to starboard and contains a Wilcox Skipper manual head with holding tank & pump-out and a handheld shower in separate large shower stall located just forward of the head. The main salon sleeps two on a convertible lounge with matching green Sunbrella navigators seat with a multitude of drawers and storage in the base. Galley is located in the forward cabin to port and contains a new (2015) Norcold DE0041 fridge with freezer (12/110V) and a new (2015) two burner Sealand Princess Gourmet gas cook top - LPG with solenoid shutoff and hot and cold Shurflo pressurized water in a deep stainless steel sink. There is an additional Dometic WEACO deep freeze in cockpit,
