1996 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45.1 ROOMY 3 Cabin 2 head layout Turn key and ready to cruise and sail away. New bottom paint and zincs in fall 2012. Passed RIgging survey done as well fall, 2012. The sleek, stately lines and graceful exterior contain a wealth of interior space. Her easy helm, thoroughbred speed and steady trim mean that even with the gennaker raised, it is possible to leave driving to the autopilot. The helm console, mounted engine controls and instrumentation are within easy reach of both hand and eye. The rigid vang, in-mast furled main and roller furled genoa, plus in-cockpit line clutches for sheets, halyards, lifts, etc., are evidence of the quest for hassle-free sailing enjoyment. Top priority goes to living space and comfortable appointments. The teak-lined cockpit has been designed around a large table as a fully independent living area leading to the transom extension through a gate. The location of the twin wheels leaves an unencumbered central walkway. Aft, the swim-ladder stows away into its own locker so the extension, which features a retractable fresh water shower, retains its sleek styling. The backstay is split so as to facilitate easy cockpit access. The uncluttered deck has 27 ports or hatches, positioned to ensure continual yet adjustable natural lighting and ventilation. Two cockpit lockers, a hold aft and another watertight hold forward free the deck area. With increased comfort in mind, Jeanneau's designers have concentrated on creating an inviting living area. This can be seen in the location of the navigation station which opens up cabin space and offers direct access from a white leather salon dinette area. The dinette is capable of accommodating up to eight around the central table. Also, the in-line galley offers wide open space for preparation and serving, and has provision for stowage on several levels, plus a large refrigerator, and a deep freeze. The salon settee features a wet-bar. The 45.1's master cabin is spacious, tranquil, light and airy, offering a degree of comfort demanded for long-haul cruising. It features a private head and shower. The three cabin two head layout with the convertible dinnette sleeps eight, including the two aft quarter cabins. The aft head also has a shower. | ||
