Very well equipped complete with Air Conditioning and Autopilot & radar THIS HUNTER FRESHWATER 376 has an impressive feel on the wheel. The 3 cylinder diesel is anything but undersized as there is a commanding feel while under power.
This 376 is further separated from other 376's with her classic rig that gives better sailing performance than the inmast rig. Another good feature for some is the fact the the enormously tall rig of the 376 has been reduced moderately to accomodate some bridges on Kentucky Lake where this boat was located not long ago.
Another advantage to THIS 376 is that she has an Electric Halyard Winch to keep the full battented mainsail EASY to raise that makes it easy even for a 6 year old to raise the mainsail and for that matter trim the mainsail. Add the electric winch to the Harken Ball Bearing Bat Car System and the Dutchman System and you'll find not just a fast sail, but a very easily managed sail by any crew.
The added benefit of the Electric Winch is that you can use it to trim the head sail by leading the genoa sheet to this cabin top winch. So, as a result you have power at your disposal such that even the physically challenged of us can handle all sails EASILY.
The Dutchman rigged mainsail with electric winch and small headsail on the rollerfurler maintains the manageability while short handed sailing the 376. The mast was shortened only 4'3" for bridge clearances but she still has LOTS of power. She only lost around 30 sq ft and none of the standing rigging was changed. She is just more manageable.
With the power of the Yanmar diesel she is just as manageable with sails furled. Equipped with windlass, knotmeter, depthsounder, chartplotter system and, yes, RADAR, with Stereo with inside and outside speakers, Microwave, and LPG stove w/ oven, all of these features will ensure you and yours have an enjoyable time with THIS Hunter 376.
As the photos show, this Hunter 376 has just undergone complete "spiffing" of all exterior surfaces. The deck and sides have been through our Rooke Sails system of wetsanding as necessary, then buffing with heavy duty 3M rubbing compound, then medium compound and finally completely sealed and polished with Starbrite Silicone Polish. Gosh, she sure looks beautiful. Not many Hunter 376's will be as impressive on hull shine. For that mattter the rubrail that was a bit dingy now looks almost new !! Again look at the photos. This boat is cosmetically & physically Very nice & desirable .
Additionally, this Hunter 376 has just undergone a reworked underbody that took care of any blistering found - - not much, again we have photos to show what is under the new Pettit Trinidad bottom paint. That is right - - she comes WITH RECENT BOTTOM PAINT as of mid 2013. The more you look the more THIS HUNTER 376 may be the 376 for YOU as you will have very little extra $ out lay to be sailing in style!! Even windows have been reworked to ensure there are no leaks.
The interior is the standard Hunter 376 design. The 12' 7" wide beam amplifies the interior volume such that when added to the European layout (aft head and aft double berth) you'll be hard pressed to find ANY 37 that yields such comfort. The aft head has two doors. One aft opening to the aft berth and one opening to the main salon. This improves privacy for those occasions when there is more than one couple on the boat.
This FRESH WATER boat is in the water at Greer's Ferry Lake in Arkansas Please contact us for an appointment to view this lovely yacht.
With current financing for pre-sailed boats @ 5.5 to 6.99 or better, with a reasonable deposit, the monthly note to own this boat would be approximately $650/month making this very attractive for a cabin on the lake that sails. For a great sailing boat with LOTS of accommodations for family or friends, it is hard to imagine a better cabin at the lake or boat. Remember, in most cases you can still deduct the interest on your taxes where the boat is treaded as the 2nd home. That is right, it frequently qualfies as a 2nd home tax deduction.
Last but not least, the owner of the 376 will consider a trade of a smaller boat. She is a great opportunity for the right person.
ROOKE SAILS is ready and willing to assist in making the purchase of this boat a pleasurable one as we can execute a "TURN KEY" purchase in assisting with financing, aiming you to qualified surveyors, and if necessary help deliver the boat to another location with our own equipment.
