The Hunter 280 was conceived to be a spirited performer - fun to sail, cruise or just spend the weekend anchored up in a romantic cove. Warren Luhr’s and the rest of the design team worked hard to put many of the features usually found on their larger boats into this smaller package. The 280 sail plan incorporates a fractional rig with a full roach, fully battened mainsail and roller furling jib for easy and efficient handling. All lines led aft for single or short handed sailing. The large cockpit provides the center from which to sail or entertain. It offers stern rail seats, wheel steering and a walk thru transom. The 280’s roomy interior boasts an aft double berth, a large private head with shower, forward V-berth, U shaped dinette that converts in to a double berth. She has two anchors, BBQ and is setup for safe single hand sailing. The boat needs forward cushions so you can pickout your fabric and the seller will help pay for them!

This boat was used mostly for day sailing out of Shilshole marina with aproximately 200 to 300 hundred hours on her very clean Yanmar Diesel engine. The Leisure furling boom cost $12,500 and makes her very easy single hand and trim the main sail. The owner has a quote for new saloon cushions and will give the new buyer a credit for them, so you can pick out your own color!!!
