MEDUSE was conceived to replace the owner’s smaller Feadship and specifically designed for serious world cruising. Carrying a large helicopter and with a diving recompression chamber, elevator, cinema, gymnasium and two staterooms on deck, plus 4 other guest suites, and a nanny cabin, MEDUSE has a very versatile layout. She has cruised extensively across the worlds oceans and is known as one of the worlds most sea-kindly and handsome Feadships.
Master Stateroom: The master stateroom, finished in pear wood, is located forward on the main deck, full beam with a centreline berth, office to port, sitting area to starboard, and his and her bathrooms forward; his with a shower and hers with a tub. Closets outboard in both bathrooms.
VIP Stateroom: The almost full beam VIP stateroom, also finished in pear wood, is located on the main deck, just aft of the owner’s stateroom. There is a sitting area inboard, office, desk and bookshelves adjacent, and a king size berth to port, with en suite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub aft.
4 Guest Staterooms: The four guest staterooms, finished in anigre, can be found on the lower deck. They are all accessed from a central hallway which is connected to the upper decks via a very generous staircase, and an elevator that passes from the lower deck all the way to the Bridge deck. Two of the guest rooms have queen-sized beds and tubs en suite, and the other two have single beds and large shower rooms en suite.
All of the guest staterooms have excellent storage and abundant desk and working space areas.
Nanny Cabin: A single nanny cabin adjoins the aft starboard guest stateroom and shares the en suite bathroom.
Gymnasium: A gym is on the main deck at the forward end of the main deck foyer, well equipped with running machines and a weight machine.
Dining Room: The main deck dining room is immediately off the main deck foyer, amid ships and can seat 12-14 comfortably.
Cinema: An incredible private cinema for 12 guests is located on the main deck, adjacent the main deck lobby and inboard of the day toilet.
Main Saloon: Beautifully finished in anigre, with exceptionally large windows and excellent headroom. An entertainment center is forward on the centreline with desk and work area to port, couches, easy chairs and coffee tables. A Yamaha piano is the focal point aft, opposite a gaming table.
Aft Deck: A delightful open aft deck has seating aft around coffee tables, and two staircases down to the swim platform. Two circular dining tables, each seating six are served by two buffets and a wet bar area forward. Two staircases access the bridge deck.
Headroom: MEDUSE was specifically designed with exceptional 2.3m headroom (7’ 6”) on the main and bridge decks.
Elevator: A four person elevator services three decks from the lower guest accommodation deck to the bridge deck.
Pantries: A pantry located forward of the dining saloon on the main deck is one of three aboard. The Skylounge and upper decks are served by a pantry amidships on the bridge deck whilst the lower guest accommodation is served by a pantry with laundry facilities on the lower deck.
Sky Lounge: Presently arranged as a music recording studio, this space has a skylight over a bar seating area. Doors lead out to the bridge deck dining area with teak table for 12. Bar and barbeque facilities are provided adjacent to the dining table. An awning comes out to provide additional shade.
A/V room: Located amidships on the bridge deck, the air conditioned A/V room houses the “brains” for the incredible A/V equipment on board.
Tenders: Tenders are located amidships, aft of the bridge, so that the entire deck areas are kept clear for the owner’s enjoyment.
Captain’s Cabin: Located on the bridge deck, with private office forward and ships office opposite.
Bridge: Exceptionally well laid out and finished in anigre, there is a seating area aft to starboard, and 3 person settees either side of a central chart table. There is an island sun pad forward of the bridge, outside.
Sundeck: Accessed from the staircase from the bridge deck dining area or via midship’s internal staircase. The sun deck is divided into two defined areas. Forward the central Jacuzzi with waterfall is flanked by large sunbeds and extensive seating. A fibreglass hardtop was added forward of the arch to partially shade this seating area. Under the arch is a dining table for six, with bar adjacent. A day toilet and shower is nearby.
Helicopter Deck: Aft of this reception area is storage for additional water toys and a skylight to below. Also accommodated is the MCA rescue tender and cranes beside the helicopter landing area suitable for an MD900, Bell Jet Ranger , EC135, EC145 or similar.
Galley: Main ships galley is located on the lower deck to port adjacent the side loading hull door, serviced by a food lift that reaches four decks that includes the stores area below. This area features a large walk-in fridge, freezer, dry store and chilled wine storage.
Crew Mess: Crew mess opposite the galley, complete with its own mini galley, eating island, comfortable dining area and computer workstation areas.
Crew: Crew accommodations for 18 below in 4 upper and lower cabins, all with ensuites, 2 triple lower berth cabins with ensuites and a separate chief engineer and chief officer cabin each with 2 berths. Crew day toilet on the main deck.
Laundry: Located on the lowest deck by ship’s stores. Includes four washers/dryers and roller press.
Engine Room: Centrally located, aft of the crew quarters across two levels, complete with Engine Control Room and a separate generator room. A feature is the air-conditioned passageway through the engine room that allows discreet service access to the lower guest accommodation.
Lazarette: Another of the exceptional features of MEDUSE is the water sports area aft. Currently set up for Nitrox diving, with storage for an incredible array of owners dive gear. Importantly, for the avid diver is a double lock two-person decompression chamber, which enables medical evacuation to shore facilities. A generous swim platform provides easy access to the water and via the large hull door, access to the lazarette.

An extensive entertainment system runs throughout the yacht and this is controlled by using proprietary servers and control panels. The system uses speakers which are installed throughout the yacht including the sundecks. Each cabin and common area has its own controller. There are a number of Plasma TV screens through the interior.
Presently the entire audio/visual and IT system on Meduse is controlled by a proprietary system, which will be removed prior to delivery. Similar systems are available on the market and can be integrated by the new owners.
