Original owner, spacious, family cruising yacht with desirable shallow draft wing keel, perfect for exploring local waters!!  When the Catalina 28 MK II was introduced she was touted as a “careful blend of innovation and traditional values” and promised to “pass the test of time”.  Sixteen years later she has proved herself time and time again.  “Happy Days” has a great cockpit layout to keep the crew comfortable and details throughout so well thought out you will have to keep reminding yourself that she has only a 24 foot waterline and a 10 foot beam.  Many refer to her as the “biggest 28 sailboat you’ll find”.  Her draft is just 3’08”!!   Her below deck spaces consist of a forward private cabin with a V-berth and built-in storage, full-size aft berth w/privacy curtain, galley w/propane stove/oven, hot and cold water,great storage and an ice box.  Her salon has a Nav station to port, port and starboard settees with a folding dining table between the settees, flat screen DVD and an AM/FM/CD stereo with bulkhead mounted speakers.  Her enclosed head with shower is easily accessible from the cockpit and the cabin.  She has a dodger, (no bimini), canvas covers for the main sail/winches/helm, snap-in screen for the salon entrance, plexiglass slide-in cockpit hatch for additional light, walk-through transom, hot and cold stern shower and shore power.  Electronics include gin-pole mounted Furuno radar, Apelco 5160 VHF, Autohelm ST4000 autopilot, wind speed indicator and depth finder.  Her sail inventory consists of a full batten main with Dutchman flaking system and a 110 genoa on a Schafer roller furling system.  Her auxiliary power is a 25 HP FWC Universal diesel with 1120 hours.
