owners’ comments:The Oystercatcher 16 is a gaff-rigged, trailerable, pocket cruiser. The design was based on the traditional oyster-dredging boats of the Falmouth area. This is a rare opportunity to acquire one of these delightful boats, as only 10 were ever built. The Oystercatcher 16 was built with great attention to detail, and has a comfortable and cosy cabin. The high-volume hull and generous bowsprit give the impression of a much bigger boat than her 16 ft would suggest. She had been moored on the Exe estuary at Topsham, wintered ashore, and regularly maintained, including a full annual engine service (most recently in October 2015). The mainsail, jib and staysail were replaced in 2014. She has a purpose-built road trailer and launching dolly. I purchased the vessel in 2015, unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to sail her.
