Converted according to the venture capitalist and explorer, Tom Perkins’ requirements, Dr. No is a fantastic exploration yacht fully equipped for memorable adventures in safety and comfort.
The steel hull 37-meter yacht is loaded with everything you need to explore the most exquisite corners of the world. Explore coral reefs, amazing sea life and sunken shipwrecks. Visit Easter Island, Fiji, Alaska and the Galapagos. And then transit the canal and make your way (slowly) through the Caribbean before heading over to the Med.
Share a once-in-a-lifetime experience with your parents, children and best mates.
The origins of Dr. No
Following the completion of the breakthrough Maltese Falcon sailing yacht, Tom Perkins sailed and raced around the world with his unique sailboat but missed the mental challenge posed by its construction. Looking for new challenges and after falling in love with underwater exploration, Mr. Perkins devised and coordinated the conversion of this strong, yet comfortable world explorer vessel, with the most rugged and comprehensive outfitting. He fitted it with dive gear and all of the other ‘toys’, including the amazing ‘flying’ two-person submarine and multiple other tenders.
Mr. Perkins and his friends cruised and explored the length of the Pacific, and now, it is ready to take you and your family and friends to any corner of the world.
Dr. No accommodates 8 guests in safety and style for long adventure cruises. Comprised of four ensure cabins: 1 Master suite, 1 VIP suite and two guest cabins. Accommodations are stylish, spacious and comfortable. She has crew quarters for seven.
There are many lounging areas, including a large salon leading to the aft cockpit, the pilothouse, the aft deck, a library and several sun lounging areas.
The accommodations and decor aboard Dr. No reflect Mr. Perkins desires for a practical and serious global adventuring vessel. We can assist you with any changes that you might like to make aboard, from redecorating to reconfiguring accommodation spaces to adding stabilizers and outfitting her for other specialized applications. Please call or write with your questions and requests.
