Luhrs has built high quality boats since the 30’s. Built tank tough, this boat will never let you down. She has been a great family boat but the owner is ready for a new, larger boat. You might say he has lost that fishin feeling. She is plain and simple, a great capable offshore fishing platform that you can buy for a fraction of what a new tournament boat would cost. What is wrong with saving about seven hundred thousand dollars. The 290 is a modified-V hull with cored hull sides, and a well flared Carolina bow, and a wide 11 foot 6 inch beam. She is famous for her sea keeping abilities, and dry ride.

Her cabin is extremely people friendly and common sense designed. They put the head forward instead of cramming in a berth. It is big guy comfortable, with a real world size shower. Four comfortable swing up pilot berths provide sleeping berths, and fold up the top two bunks and walaa, big couches. She has pole holders on both hull sides. She has a small galley to the aft of the cabin that has what you need to create meals and the interior is trimmed with Teak.

Her cockpit holds her full size fishing chair, and still has enough room for all of your fishing gear, and your fishin’ buddies. She has two large in-deck fish boxes for you to fill, a transom door, and another fish box built into the transom.

Her helm is right in the center of the vessel which provides you with great visibility. The entire helm station lifts up to give you great access to the step down engine compartment. Everything at the helm station is within easy reach, and there is enough seating around the helm station to keep the Captain from being lonely. Her electronics are all well placed and she has everything the serious angler will want.

She sports a standard tower with buggy top and controls. She may not be new, but she will make you proud as she looks great. It is a good serviceable boat with low hours that will make great memories for you and your family for years to come. Her Port engine was rebuilt in 2008 and has but 10 hours on her, her starboard engine was rebuilt in June 2007 and has but 500 hours on her.
