This 1994 Com-Pac 27/2 is a fine example of the spacious, roomy, and popular Com-Pac Yacht. She is equipped with the Yanmar (2GM) 18 hp. engine (as many of the earlier boats had a smaller diesel which often was not enough to easily move the boat in a seaway). In addition to her larger diesel engine, she has a custom cabin sole with a laser cut compass rose and anchor which really sets off the interior. Built in the traditional Hutchins style with bronze ports and deck hardware. She also features extensive teak below decks, unlike so many of the 'Clorox Bottles' of similar sized yachts built today.
The 27 is fast, track very well and is extremely maneuverable. With her shoal draft keel, she is capable of extensive exploration.
Starting below in the bow, there is a large V-berth forward with a hanging locker to port and bank of drawers to starboard. Partial storage below berth. Large hatch overhead and two opening ports. Moving further aft it the bulkhead which divides the forward cabin area from the main salon. As you move aft, there is a bulkhead mounted table which folds down to reveal a large dinnerware storage area. Settees both port and starboard, with the port side opening up into a double berth and the starboard side offering a bunk-berth setup. Total sleeping accommodations are for six persons. Further aft to port is the L-shaped galley with a stainless steel sink, ample storage, and two-burner alcohol stove and a large icebox round out the functional galley. Aft to starboard is a large head with shower. Companionway steps lead up to the huge cockpit which offers 6'10" seats. Cabintop and forward deck space is easily traversed even when the weather is not cooperating.

From Hutchins Company, Inc.
The Com-Pac 27/2 is built in the traditional Hutchins style, with bronze ports, bronze deck hardware, and extensive teak. She is fast, tracks straight, maneuvers tightly, and accelerates easily. Her balanced ends offer agile performance even in light air. She turns within her own length, and motors as well as she sails. The 6-foot 10-inch cockpit with port and starboard seat lockers also has wet storage under a contoured helmsman's seat. Wide decks and cabin top provide plenty of room for sail-handling. The Com-Pac 27/2's interior allows standing headroom, six berths and an enclosed head with optional hot water shower. A full galley, hanging locker and storage space helps to satisfy the needs of a cruising family. Three hatches and eight opening ports ensure ample ventilation and a bright, airy atmosphere below. Her two-cylinder, fresh-water cooled diesel, or her powerful sail plan with standard 135 per cent roller furling Genoa, smoothly propel the Com-Pac 27/2 through crowded harbors or across open water.

Also, many of our boats are kept off-site & sometimes we can meet you either at the yard where the boat is located, or nearby and save you time traveling to Oxford unnecessarily. We look forward to hearing from you!
