S/Y Freesia is a 76 foot classic cutter rigged sloop, the largest yacht custom built by The Hinckley Company and designed by Ocke Mannerfelt. Under Freesia Yacht, LLC's fractional ownership program, this classic Hinckley 76' yacht is being established with the primary mission for Members to charter at a Preferred Rate. The program allows Members to personally sail the vessel with the help of a professional Captain as a gentleman's cruising yacht. Members who wouldn't necessarily have the time to devote to owning such a classic vessel can now enjoy this yacht and be part of its preservation. The program helps Members trim down the costs of maintenance and operations. The legal entity will be a limited liability corporation to afford Members depreciation and the possibility of capital appreciation. The offering is for twelve $100,000 units each buying a 7.69% interest. In addition, each Member is required to purchase eight days per year at the Preferred Rate. The Preferred Rate is approximately one-half the market charter rate and is presently estimated at $2,000 per day. Members can also purchase additional days at the Preferred Rate. Required days will take preference over non-required days. Members intending to use the vessel in both winter and summer seasons are encouraged to purchase two units. Reservations will be on a first come first served basis. Members will be responsible for their fuel, dockage, provisioning and crew tip charges. The yacht may be offered for charter to non-members for the New York Yacht Club Cruise Week, St. Bart's Bucket Week and Antigua's Classic Yacht Race Week. Originally custom built for a Norwegian shipping family as their private yacht Freesia’s hull is a hand laid laminate of vinylester resins infused into a hybrid Kevlar / E-Glass fabric and vacuum-bagged with a 1.5” foam core, providing stiffness, durability and thermal acoustic insulation.
Freesia’s teak decks sit atop a vacuum bagged construction with closed cell PVC foam core, Vinylester resin and Kevlar / E-glass. The core is replaced in stress areas with solid Kevlar / E-Glass to ensure maximum strength. The Deck and hull are bonded with a reinforced polyester compound and through bolted with stainless steel.
Topsides are painted in White Awlgrip. A traditional raised bulwark is capped with a solid teak cap rail.
INTERIOR DETAIL ACCOMODATIONS
Freesia’s interior is built with solid wood Honduras mahogany, this original growth mahogany is unfortunately no longer available, making Freesia a unique historical yacht. The elegant and classic salons and staterooms are complimented with solid brass hardware completing the traditional look.
Special care and construction detail was employed building Freesia’s interior including invisible expansion joints to accommodate climate differences as the solid mahogany panels inevitably expand and contract.
Freesia offers four staterooms, including two suites. Her master suite is forward with a large centerline double, hanging locker, writing desk and private head with a stall shower. Aft and to port is a suite that was originally planned for the King and Queen of Norway who frequented the yacht. This cabin has his and her twins, ample storage and a private head also with a stall shower. Also aft of the master on the port side is a common head with shower. On the starboard side is two cabins with over and under berths, bureau and hanging lockers.
The full width main salon is a classic work of art with it’s raised panel mahogany bulkheads, book cases and exposed mahogany beams contrasting the white Herreshoff toungue and grove headliner. To port is the U-Shaped settee with a drop leaf table and opposite to starboard is a gracious and seaworthy U-shaped galley.
Just aft of the main solon and to port is a storage room and tool area that can also be converted to an additional crew berth.
Just off the cockpit is a raised pilot house with a 360 degree view, dining area to port and seating and modern navigation station to starboard.
A sailor’s cockpit is designed with a gracious guest seating area and drop leaf table. The aft helm station and seating is designed with all controls within grasp for easy short-handed sailing both near shore and offshore.

SAILS AND RIGGING
Carbon fiber mast and boom constructed by Hall Spars. Standing rigging is rod. Rigging was serviced in 2012.
All sails are North with Harkin Genoa Furler (2011). Mail sail furler (2010). New Staysail (2010) and also includes Gennaker.
Designed for shorthanded sailing Freesia has Lewmar Sleftailing winches for all sheets, outhaul and single halyard. Primary winches are 3 –Speed Lewmar. Hydrolic winches include: genoa, staysail, windlass, deck winch, main winches, mainsheet and outhaul. Anchor locker was also refit in 2012.
Electrical system is 24 v and 220v- from Genset, shore power or inverter for outlets.
