The Sadler 26 was designed by Martin Sadler as a development of the very successful Sadler 25 to have more headroom and more spacious accommodation Over 200 of these yachts were built between 1982 and 1992, having the same foam-filled interior moulding as the 29, to provide unsinkability and insulation. Being a good seagoing boat, this yacht has proved to be successful for family cruising and she performs well in handicap club racing.
The superb sea-keeping qualities of the Sadler 26 make her the natural successor to the title that the Sadler 25 held for so long, as the ultimate performance cruising yacht in her class.
This particular 26 is one of the last built in 1992 by Fortuna of South Africa, under licence to the same exacting standard of construction as was specified by Sadler UK, with the benefit of a deep fin keel - Falcore is in excellent condition with 10hp Yanmar GM inboard engine (installed 2003) low engine hours.
Falcore is splendidly equipped with furling genoa (new UV strips), mainsail with two reefs, storm jib and gennaker (both as new). Electronics are comprehensive with ST 2000 autopilot, Seatech echosounder and log, Panasonic laptop plotter (full UK charts), Sailor epirb and Jefferson VHF - a splendidly equipped and attractive example of this popular class, now reduced in price because owners have already purchased their next yacht.
