BEST VALUE FOR MONEY ON THE MARKET! CLEAN BOAT, LOADED WITH GEAR, CRUISING READY.
"Strider" is a gem. She has classic lines and an easily driven hull that provides speed and stability under sail. The interior is beautifully finished in Ash with Teak trim. The boat has well thought out systems, lots of storage and a great cruising layout. With many portlights and hatches as well as white headliner, she is light and welcoming down below. This classic cruising boat was commissioned as a new boat by her current owners who then sailed her on the Great Lakes for 15 years.
Strider was completed by a master craftsman AND with the assistance of Reliance factory staff! In fact it would be hard to find a factory built boat that had a better finish!
in 2008 "Strider" received a full refurbishment which included: the addition of ProFurl in-boom furling, electric cabintop sail handling winch, complete engine overhaul, Seafrost refrigeration, Kyocera solar panels, KISS wind generator, Spectra watermaker, full suite of new electronics including ComNav Commander autopilot, Tack Tick sailing instruments, Raymarine E120 CP and 4kw Radar, Icom 802 SSB, Winslow liferaft ... the list goes on.
Other desirable features are: an electric headsail furler, hard-top dodger, SSB with Pactor III Modem, upgraded engine alternator, large battery bank and much more.
The owners recently returned from a four year cruise to the Eastern Caribbean, Venezuela, the ABC's, Jamaica, Cuba, Cayman Islands, Bahamas and back to the US. Strider has all the cruising kit you could wish for and has been immaculately maintained. If you plan to go cruising in the near future, Strider is a turnkey boat, ready for her next adventure. Take our word - we see lots of boats and Strider is a standout in terms of equipment, finish and upkeep!

Strider's interior cabinetry has been superbly executed in Ash with Teak trim, which makes her light and 'clean'. At the base of the companionway is an open quarterberth to starboard and a door to the guest cabin to port both of which have 3/4 bunks. Behind the companionway stairs is storage and access to the steering quadrant & cables; below the stairs are tool drawers.
Forward of the guest cabin on the port side is the head and opposite the head is a hanging locker which houses the water heater and other equipment. Between the hanging locker and the nav station is a 'pantry' with work surface. Step down to the galley on the port side and the nav station to starboard. The galley is well appointed with sinks amidships and lots of storage and work space as well as easy access to the salon. The salon consists of an L-shaped settee to port and a straight settee to starboard; a centerline solid teak table surrounds the mast and has leaves which reach to both settees with storage below the center portion.
A bifold door in the forward salon bulkhead provides access to the V-berth. It has a large hatch which provides excellent ventilation, there is plentiful storage along the hulls, below the bunk as well as on either side of the door.
