Having trophied again in the 2009 Trans-Pac (2nd in Division 3)this Alan Andrews designed 56' sloop built by Dencho Marine has proven to be a fast, successful and comfortable yacht. Her enviable race record includes 2nd in Class, 2005 Trans-Pac; 2nd Overall, 2007 NHYC-Cabo Race; 2nd in Class and 2nd Overall, 2007 Trans-Pac and most recently 2nd in Class 2009 Trans-Pac. And this with a comfortable interior. Designed with cruising in mind, the interior features 3-double staterooms; a large Main Salon with dinette, Nav Station, and Galley with generous storage; and 2 enclosed heads (one with separate shower). Extensively re-fit and optimized in April 2009 improvements included a new bulb keel with kelp cutter, new topside paint, new Code 2 spinnaker, new spinnaker staysail with furler and much more. With an up to date inventory and loaded with equipment, this Andrews 56 is in excellent condition.
