The Albin 24 could be classified as a "Cross-over". It's not just a fishing boat, it's a "comfortible for 2 overnight" as well, thus a cruiser. It's not a "true to form" DownEaster, but it has the appearance when looking at her from a short distance, as having DownEaster lines, somewhat, but not totally authentic. As soon as you realize it's an Albin, you automatically think "Trawler" and she looks like when she grows up she might be one. Hard to pinpoint. But what she is.....is hell-built for stout, with a great ride, and many are amazed at the total accomodations with big boat feel, but on a trailerable 24 footer.
She's a 25mph max boat, but certainly not a gas guzzler. 8.4 gph @ 3300rpm.
One of the more impressive aspects of the Getaway is its solid ride A modified-V (16 degree dead-rise aft) hull creates the stability.
A solid-glass keel runs from amidships aft to the stern and accounts for the boat's even response, especailly in a following sea. A bronze skeg protects the running gear.

Although the Getaway will accommodate three people, she's an ideal sleep aboard for a couple.
Forward is a large U-shaped settee (with stowage beneath) converts to a queen-size berth when the dining table is lowered. The mattress is 4" thick providing reasonable comfort.
If you want to bring along a third passenger, a comfortable 6'3" long by 2'3" wide quarter berth is located aft.
To port, forward of the quarterberth a small galley features a single burner Origo alcohol stove, sink, stowage and fiddled counter space.
Opposite the galley, a big enclosed head has sink, toilet with 10 gallon holding tank, shower nozzle, counter space, stowage and a huge medicine cabinet. The head is all fiberglass too, so clean-up is a cinch.
Notable features in the cabin include standing headroom (6'2") at the galley and in the head.
