With a balance between racing performance and providing a high standard of interior comfort for cruising, she is swift yet sure footed in a heavy sea, she flies on a reach and you will love her downwind manners!

The interior layout of the Nauta 70 has been as carefully considered as her construction. The saloon has two symmetrical tables, which can together seat 16 people using the extra folding chairs. The expansive owners cabin is located right aft; it boasts a small desk and dressing table, small sofa and five hanging lockers. The four cabins can sleep eight people in total and are designed with comfort in mind; all lined in Honduras mahogany each with an en suite heads compartment. As part of her refit Silandra's interior has been refinished and also the bathroom fittings have been replaced. The need for space has not been forgotten; the door separating the galley from the saloon and the forward control room fold back to give a long gangway on the port side. Spare sails can also be stored in the after gangway, which leads into the owners cabin. The Navigation station also faces fore and aft, with plenty of workspace for charts, and good access to navigation equipment.

The Nauta 70 also features a dedicated service cabin which houses the central wiring boxes, battery chargers, main pumps, pump manifold and workbench. There is also access to the back of the 24v main breaker panel, which is mounted at the navigation station. Silandra has also been totally re-wired as part of her recent extensive rebuild/refit after she was damaged in "Ivan" in 2004

The deck layout is interesting and well thought out. The secondary not primary winches are electrically controlled, and this is to aid the boats versatility as a cruiser / racer. When racing-sheeting speed is often more important than strength, as there are enough crew to haul the Genoa. When cruising sheeting strength is more of a priority due to depleted crew numbers, to aid this transition the Genoa can as easily use the primaries (manual) as the secondaries (hydraulic). There is also a large diameter wheel set in a deep well, which is of laminated mahogany and carbon There is an adjustable baby stay for race tuning, whilst the winches at the mast foot are positioned for maximum racing efficiency.
