The J-35 was honored with its induction into The American Sailboat Hall of Fame. At that time, Sail America had selected only 16 boats to be so honored since the Hall of Fame was founded in 1994. The selection committee considers boats for this honor that were introduced to the boating market at least 15 years prior to their induction and have "earned lasting recognition by fostering new enjoyment and growth in the sport of sailing through excellent design and product ingenuity".
Hull #268 out of 330, built 1990 and features 8 opening port hatches; 3 on each side of the cabin house and 2 in the cockpit. There are also 3 opening deck hatches for great ventilation. This J/35 was originally named “Three Cheers” the second owner purchased it in 1999, renaming her Rebel Yell. Rebel Yell competes in the Chesapeake Bay J/35 fleet and is based out of Annapolis, MD.

Hull & Deck Construction :
Built by Tillotson-Pearson International (TPI), a company with a long history of excellence in fiberglass composite construction. Both hull and deck are constructed with end-grain balsa wood core material between layers of biaxial and unidirectional fiberglass cloth. TPI was one of the first production boat builders to utilize these materials that allow the builder to align the direction of the strands of fiberglass cloth to the forces that occur under load. The result is generally a stronger composite for a given weight.

She is priced to sell and is the lowest priced 1990's version J/35 on the market; it is priced to sell!
The boat is in good overall condition but needs some TLC and general cleaning; nothing major. With a little effort she can be brought back to be a great looking J/35 One-Design.
