Sea Legs is Blue Seas Hull # 36 built by Hinterholler Yachts in Canada. Sea Legs has the optional galley down and a transom door plus all of the positive amenities found in a Blue Seas. The current owners have made major upgrades commencing in 2002. The engine was removed, new fuel tanks, holding tank and extra battery capacity were installed. Single Cummins f.w.c. 6 cylinder diesel Model BT5.9M turbo charged with heavy duty reduction gear. 1 1/2" stainless shaft, four blade propeller, drive saver, hydraulic steeing, (2) 100 gallon fuel tanks, new in 2002. Bronze through hulls, large Groco raw water filter, Racor fuel filter, hot water heater (110v heat exchnger). Updated charging system with Pro Mariner charger. Five batteries,( two start, three house batteries), side exhaust trim tabs, side power bow thruster AC/DC panel, shorepower with 110v outlets, power cord. Sleeps four. Double vee berth forward with filler cushions. Berths are approximately 6'6" long. Standing room in forward cabin is over 6'. There are two opening ports, a large overhead hatch with screen and storage shelves over both berths. Lots of storage in the under berth lockers. Next aft to starboard is a hanging locker with vented door followed by a large enclosed head area that includes vanity with sink, several storage lockers and shower controls mounted on the bulkhead. Electric toilet, shower sump, vanity mirror, teak towel bars and soap dish.
Opposite to port is a very convenient galley complete with a deep stainless steel sink, hot/cold pressure water, top loading ice chest and enclosed lockers for galley gear and food supplies. The Force 10 galley range has two burners with chopping block lid. Up three steps to the main cabin.
The helm is to starboard with a wide fixed bench seat and back rest. Helm seat unit has three built-in storage lockers and a convenient pull-out drawer. Electronics are placed in front of the helm station for ease of navigation. Note that the teak top of the helm dash opens to access the electrical helm wiring. Aft of the helm is a settee with a lift-up backrest to access additional storage. There are two large teak storage drawers under the settee.
Opposite to port is a Norcold AC/DC refrigerator followed by a longer settee that pulls out to make a double. Two teak storage drawers are also located under this settee. The center pilothouse window opens, side windows are on sliding tracks, bulkhead door has a lift-up water tight panel for additional ventilation. There are four overhead lights, a perforated foam backed sound deadening headliner as well as two overhead teak grab rails and a ventilation fan.
Flybridge: Stainless steel ladder with teak treads. Flybridge seating for five with a helm seat on center, storage under the bench seats. There is a wrap-around flybridge safety rail with dark blue canvas enclosures. There is a complete set of engine instruments, tinted flybridge wind deflector, blue bimini, Ritchie compass, Standard Horizon chart plotter 170C, Furuno radar antenna on bridge mast. Hull and Deck
Light gray gel coat hull, blue boot top , black bottom, off white cabin, gray cockpit non-skid. There are wide side decks going forward with stainless steel handrails located on the cabin sides, flybridge and forward cabin roof. The roomy foredeck includes a fiberglass anchor platform with roller and a Simpson Lawrence electric windlass complete with foot switches. The stainless steel bow rail extends from the pilot house windshield area up and around the anchor platform. Sea Legs has a mooring bit, 2 anchor midship cleats, and stern cleats mounted on the inside of the aft transom. There is a roomy cockpit, transom door, swim platform with a stainless steel boarding ladder, cockpit courtesy lights, two enclosed cockpit hatches under the wash rail. Like all Blue Seas, Sea Legs has a built-down hull, protected rudder and a very notable bow flare that provides additional bow bouyancy in a rough sea as well as a dry comfortable ride. There are three internal bulkheads, three electric bilge pumps.
