Construction
Lightly used Selection 37 built 1989 ready to race or cruise. Very quick boat designed by Joubert and Nivelt, built by Jeanneau to be light but strong and capable of 17 knots. Fractional rig with running backstays there are plenty of winches, string and sails to keep the crew busy. 7 berths in a well appointed interior for overnighters or stays in harbour. 'Sails Maid' offers lots of fun at a very reasonable price. White GRP hull with moulded non slip deck and coachroof. Two companionways, aft cockpit and tiller steering

Accommodation
The cockpit has two companionways the first leading to the aft cabin which has a double berth to port, sail storage bin in the middle and a single berth to starboard. The removable engine cover is in the forward part which gives excellent all round access. The main saloon with 1.8m headroom can be entered either from the bridgedeck companionway or a walk through from the aft cabin which leads to the galley with sink, pressurised fresh water, two burner gas hob and oven on the starboard side. Aft of the steps to port is a self contained heads with sink, pressurised fresh water and marine wc. Just forward of this the chart table and nav station. There are port and starboard settee berths either side of the dining table with an open plan forepeak, closed of by a curtain, providing another two singles or further double with the fill in.
Mechanical
A sea water cooled 18Hp Yanmar diesel engine with direct drive to a two bladed fixed prop through a reduction gearbox with reverse operated by a single morse control. A spare folding prop and plenty of engine spares are included.

Rigging
Tall fractional rig double spreader aluminium mast, boom and spinaker pole, twin foil forestay. The age of the stainless steel wire rigging is unknown but is thought to have been replaced. The running rigging is all led aft through individual blocks and jammers. The age of the cordage is also unknown but although it could do with a wash looks to be in fair condition.

Electrics
12 volts throughout with one engine start battery (2010) and two domestic batteries (2007) charged by the
engine alternator. There is a 240 volts shore power system.
