This Jarvis Newman 46 was originally built for Hatteras fishing legend, Bernice Ballance--Cap'n B, and was finished at the Lash Boatyard in Friendship, Maine, USCG certified for 21. Her current and second owner purchased her in 2012 and has made extensive upgrades throughout the entire vessel at the Ritchie Howell yard in Wanchese, NC. She sports a Carolina sheer, and her interior is sport-fishing yacht finished with berth accommodations for four and teak woodwork throughout. She is rigged for fishing and overnighting, offers a spacious salon, and with all the upgrades, including new electronics, in the past 4 years, she is ready to run for her next owner!

This hand-laid solid fiberglass 46' Jarvis Newman hull was built in Southwest Harbor, Maine in 1988 (Hull #63) and finished by the Lash Boatyard in Friendship, Maine, with a fiberglass deck assembly, as a charter fishing boat. In 2012-13, the Ritchie Howell Boatyard in Wanchese, NC, her interior was rebuilt which included a redesigned salon with teak paneling and woodwork, leather settees, Berber carpet, new electronics, plumbing, hot water system, generator.
2001 Daewoo Diesel, Model V180TIM,10 cyl., 808HP. Engine hours are 4200. FWC, Heat exchanger. 3" SS shaft swinging a bronze 4-blade prop. New hoses, belts & pulleys, and excellent maintenance schedule. Hydroslave power steering, new SS rudder, rudder bearing, shaft bearings, with dripless rudder port (less than 100 hours). New Vetus bowthruster installed. Engine room includes shop vac, spare filters, belts, plugs, parts, fuel filters, paint, oil, etc.
Cruises 18 knots (We run 80-90 miles for $215-$300 of fuel.)

Interior totally rebuilt in 2012-13. Stateroom is forward with queen bed, Tempurpedic mattress, stowage below, 2 single berths above. To port is a carpeted room for fishing gear with a chest freezer and outboard racks for rods. To starboard is enclosed head with sink, toilet with Y valve, macerator pump, holding tank, and plumbed for shower. Aft of the head is the tackle storage room.
Up three steps to 12 1/2' x 12 1/2' salon. To port is galley that includes a SS sink with pressure hot & cold water, built-in Panasonic microwave, below-counter fridge, Formica counter, and lockers for storage. Salon features 5' leather port settee and wrap-around 9' starboard settee with stowage below. Dining pedestal table on starboard side. In aft salon are two built-in bureaus with 8 drawers each, port and starboard. Teak woodwork, large windows for good visibility and interior lighting, Berber carpets, and new curtains make a clean and bright space. 46" flat-screen TV mounted on forward starboard bulkhead, Bose Surround-Sound system. Reverse Air/Heat throughout salon and cabin. Headroom in salon is 6'8".
Through center door to 16' L x 14' W spacious cockpit. Three fishing chairs, the center being a new fighting chair. Two lockers in forward cockpit, and one at stern deck. Side decks are 23 1/2" wide. Up starboard ladder to flybridge with center helm with seat and two benches for 4. Aluminum supports for fiberglass hardtop. A very open, clean, and updated sport fisherman.
