Built in 1989 at Westerly Yachts using cold molded construction by Richard and Sherri Crowe for extended Antarctic Voyages, Confetti is a true offshore short handed sailing yacht capable of safe extended voyaging in the harshest of climates. She is a performance cruising sloop with a fractional keel-stepped mast, diesel inboard aux engine, fin keel and spade rudder.
She has circumnavigated South America twice, then was bought by her current owners in 2006 refurbished again and circumnavigated the Pacific. She then returned to San Francisco where she has enjoyed ongoing care and upgrades. She was repowered within the past year, and has a newly refurbished Spectra watermaker.
Now, owners have young children and note that it is time to hand this world traveler over to new owners. This unique boat, and her sister ship "Tabu" are famous within the performance cruising circuit as the brainchildren of Rich and Shari Crowe -- adventurers in both of these sailboats, as well as the masters of the "Alaska Eagle" bluewater sail trainer operated by Orange Coast College for 32 years.
You owe it to yourself to see this incredible performer and traveler. Easy to show in San Francisco's West Harbor, her berth is not available for transfer, call today for an appointment.
As a testament to her sailing ability the original builders built a sister ship (Tabu) utilizing the same construction methods and materials including the reinforced Kevlar bow sections. She is as comfortable in the Caribbean on a hook as she is in the arctic. She has always had an extensive an ongoing full maintenance program. She is seeking her fourth owner.
All of the sailing and cruising photos in this listing are from her 06/07 Pacific circumnavigation. Some of the cruising gear has been removed for sailing in San Fransisco Bay. Please confirm with broker as to what cruising gear goes along with purchase. Many new photos added to her listing 7/4/14. Recent survey available to view aboard. 4/10/13 Date of survey
* An appointment is requested for a showing, to ensure owner's continued use of vessel doesn't conflict with your desire to see her.
