Fairline Sprint

Fairline Sprint 21 Diesel cruiser.

Overall length 23' WL. 21 x beam 8'1" x draft 3'3" Dispalcement 2.1tonne

1989 boat with a 2005 Volvo "KAD 32" 170 HP engine and duoprop outdrive leg.

Not to be confused with other Fairline Sprints this is a special Diesel boat -she has a reupholstered interior, full electronics including radar, plotter, fishfinder, steering compass, DSC radio and a CD radio running 4 speakers -the unit has USB  & SD capability, The inflatable dinghy is included in the sale and is held on "Snap Davits " at the swim platform, there is a stainless steel swim ladder hinged from the bathing platform .

Clever design and solidly built British boat; the layout includes an undercockpit double sleeping cabin - the main saloon is spacious and has a saloon table which can also be placed in the cockpit allowing a choice of dining areas. the saloon also easily converts to a double berth as does the aft cockpit which can be a sun lounging area by day and with the awning fitted- in summer another double berth .  The head is seperate to the saloon and is on the starboard side of the saloon the Jabsco sea toilet is new- there is also a moulded in basin.

The galley has pressurised cold water, a stainless steel sink a 2 burner and grill LPG stove and a  compressor driven refrigerator - storage is good above, behind and below the galley.

The Volvo KAD 32 diesel engine and DP 290 Duoprop drive is what really appeals to most serious boaters - the engine is supercharged as well as turbocharged thus giving you really good performance and economy- we have been aboard at 21 knots and she feels as if she could run for ever - indeed the owner made a short notice overnight trip from the Clyde to Northern Ireland a distance of 96 miles (each way)  each leg of which took only 4 hours!  The economy is reported as around a liter/ mile - very good for a vessel of this type. Helming the vessel for long periods is not physically tiring as there is power assisted hydraulic steering. The hydraulic trim tabs and the hydraulic leg tilt allow the helmsperson to really get the boat set up properly.  The boat was serviced , cleaned and polished before launching this April - she is now in commission about 40 minutes from our office.
