This 27-foot Coastal was built on a Royal Lowell design Nauset hull and custom finished by Coastal Yachts Inc. in Pembroke, Massachusetts. She's a Downeast fiberglass hull with a molded deck and cabin assembly. Her cockpit is 7'10" long and 8' wide with a 7" step up into the helm area. Two hatches in the cockpit and the engine hatch is in the helm area. Her non-skid decks are 9 1/2" wide.
1998 Mercruiser 5.7L 260 HP Gas engine located under helm area hatch. Borg Warner Velvet Drive transmission. 4-blade bronze propeller. Engine hours are 989. However, a recent mechanical survey and compression test indicate that 2 cylinders have low compression, though the engine is serviceable and continues to run.

Six port lights, 4 opening with screens, and cabintop hatch provide light and good ventilation.
Up into salon area is helm to starboard with 2-lever controls, destroyer wheel, engine instrumentation and navigation electronics. Folding helm and companion seats. In cockpit is a teak stern bench seat followed by a teak swim platform.
The foredeck features a teak anchor pulpit and chain locker, contrasting non-skid decks and cabin top.
