This is a nice example of the very popular Sabre 38 MKII with the centerboard option for those that want the option to explore shallower water or heading south. She has a high aspect rig with double airfoil spreaders and rod rigging, The boom is equipped with an internal clew outhaul, topping lift and two sets of jiffy reefing. The jib halyard is led to the mast mounted Lewmar winch. Main halyard and reefing lines are led aft to Lewmar winches on cabintop within easy reach of the cockpit...
The Sabre 38 is designed to enhance every aspect of her performance. Her ergonomically designed cockpit measures 8'3" long and is fitted with top quality hardware. With a separate cabin fore and aft and a spacious main salon, the Sabre 38 can easily accommodate three couples with privacy. Performance Through Design
The Sabre 38's hull is designed to be easily driven while carrying the weight of a moderate displacement yacht. It's a powerful hull shape that yields speed, stability, and sail carrying ability. The rudder, a semi-elliptical foil section, adds to the yachts performance abilities. Her skeg gives the directional stability of a full keel boat with much less drag. A fin keel is standard on the Sabre 38, but for those who do most of their sailing in shoal water, Sabre offers a Deltawing keel, with a draft of 4'11", or a centerboard with a board up draft of 4'3" and 8'0" with centerboard down.
Gracious Living Accommodations
Below the Sabre 38 has 6'4" of headroom, two private cabins, 7 berths, an expansive galley, head and navigation station. The aft cabin is another delightful retreat, with a comfortable double berth, a wide settee and hanging locker, and plenty of shelf space. The forward cabin has a wide V-berth, hanging closet and an elegant vanity with sink and settee. The main salon features a large dining area with contoured seating and a hansom teak.... table. The table folds away and the port settee converts to a double berth. The starboard settee serves as another berth.

The hull and deck are made of hand-laminated fiberglass mat and knitted roving with balsa core as a stiffener. Sabre increases hull durability by incorporating vinylester resin and ISO NPG gelcoat into the Durlam protection system." ~ Sabre 38 Brochure
The entire interior is done in oiled teak with teak and holly sole. Espar heat takes off the chill in cooler and dries out the interior should fog appear.
Starting below deck forward is the Master Cabin with a V-berth with custom spring mattress and insert, generous storage through out and a convenient seat and vanity to port with wash basin and a hanging locker to starboard.
Moving aft to the main cabin Salon is an "L" shaped settee to port which pulls out to form a double berth, a generous teak bulkhead table with folding wing and a straight settee to starboard. Cushions are Ultra Suede and teak lockers and bookshelves are outboard on both sides.
Aft and to port is the Galley which features a three burner propane stove with oven and broiler, Sea Frost refrigeration, and a double stainless sink with hot and cold pressure water.
Continuing aft and to port is the Guest Cabin with a large double berth, overhead lockers outboard and a hanging locker forward.
Starboard of the Galley is the aft facing Navigation Station with DC and AC distribution panels, a suite of electronics and storage in and below chart table.
Sitting aft of the Navigation Station is the Head. The Head features manual marine head, stainless steel sink basin, pressurized hot and cold fresh water and small settee for shower.
