This is one of the fastest monohull sailboats there is. Enjoy the speeds of a multihull boat with a monohull, tight upwind speed with ideal crew weight 7,5 - 8 knots (aiming very high!) and only thing limiting downwind speeds is how much guts you have...25+ knots. You really need a very very fast 45+ footer to keep up and to some wind directions - not a change without Volvo Ocean Race boats!! This boat was built 1988 by Melges Boatworks in Zenda, Wisconsin, USA. The boat was refurbished 2008, when also new style rudders and asymmetric rigging was installed by professionals in USA. The boat was then imported to Finland where it was presented at Helsinki International Boatshow in 2009 and then stored, no sailing with the boat after major refit. Not a single race start with the crisp Quantum set, several other sails can be included. The price includes everything, if needed racing sails or the trailer can be excluded.
