Road trailer - Four-wheel braked road trailer
The Tonic 23 is a boat that has the potential to go anywhere - on the water and on the road.
Gin and Tonix has a substantial four-wheel braked trailer that was tailor made in 2010 and has only covered 400 miles. With the extension to the hitch she can be pushed deep in the slip without the vehicle having to go in the water. Trailing and launching is made easier by the tabernacle system which employs an electric winch to make mast raising simple.
In the water, Gin & Tonix has sailed all around the south and east coast and ventured as far as the Scilly Isles. Passages are helped with an inboard diesel (rather than an offset, outboard in starboard side well) plus single line reefing, having all lines led back to the cockpit and an Autohelm 800 tiller pilot. She has been regularly sailed single-handed.
Open plan accommodation and generous windows give the boat a bright, light feel - she certainly feels bigger than most other 23ft boats. In very good condition for the year, she is well worth closer inspection.
