This boat (Hull #52) was built by the Jarvis Newman Boatyard in Southwest Harbor, Maine, in 1987 and completed in 1988. The hull is solid fiberglass and the fiberglass deck assembly, including trunk cabin, windshield, and sheltertop, is cored with molded nonskid. She was finished with teak trim, SS deck hardware, and an open wheelhouse. Fiberglass rudder. All underwater thru-hulls are bronze with seacock valves. In 2004 the Newman & Gray Boatyard on Cranberry Island, Maine, enclosed the wheelhouse, adding a convertible dinette to port and a teak double-door to cockpit. The original gelcoat is in very good condition with good maintenance every year.
1987 Perkins HT-6.345M Turbocharge, 6-cyl. 160 HP. FWC Heat Exchanger, Hurth gear, Hydraulic steering. 1 1/4" SS shaft swinging a 4-blade 22" bronze alloy prop. 851 engine hours. It has had the following work: 2008 new exhaust system; 2011 new motor mounts; oil changes twice a year. It runs well.

In cabin, aft of the rope locker is the v-berth area with filler piece to make double berth. Cushions upholstered with tan plaid fabric. Varnished pine ceiling, cabintop hatch. Next aft to starboard is galley area with SS sink with pressure hot & cold water, Force 10 two-burner LPG stove with teak cover, Formica counter, outboard shelves and lockers, and locker below. To port is hanging locker and enclosed head w/manual toilet with Y valve, holding tank, teak sole. Four opening ports and cabintop hatch provide light and ventilation. Varnished teak trim and sole throughout cabin.
Up three steps into wheelhouse. Helm to starboard with SS destroyer wheel and 1-lever engine controls. A very clean area with mounted VHF radio overhead, built-in engine controls and compass. Upholstered captain's seat. To port is dinette with upholstered bench seating for four and converts to double berth. Windows provide 360-degree visibility. The two outer windshield windows open and have electric wipers. Side and aft windows slide open. Fiberglass sole with large hatch for engine access. Underside of shelter top is covered with Soundown.
Through double teak doors to cockpit. 24" stern deck with locker below for twin LPG tanks. Lockers under side decks, port and starboard. Custom teak stern seat and swim platform. Fiberglass over plywood cockpit sole with two hatches.
