"D.A.R.N. Special" is a lovely, traditional, DownEast cruiser built by Wilbur in Maine. She has a Herreshoff interior with white bulkheads trimmed in teak and a teak and holly sole for a warm yet bright feel below. Her galley, which is down, is open to the salon and gives the feeling of a much larger vessel. Her cockpit is large and accomodating and the visability from the flybridge is amazing. The Wilbur 34 is a well known and capable vessel. She has a lovely shear that stands out from the euro styles of today.

"D.A.R.N. Special" has a lovely, yacht quality, Herreshoff interior with 6'6" headroom. She has a V-berth forward with hanging lockers. The galley is next to port with the head and separate shower stall opposite to starboard. The V-berth with its filler makes a full athwartships berth and has a Mariner Deluce hand crafted mattress 6" thick. Outboard are lovely wood ceiling strips along the hull sides, varnished teak and holly sole, storage under under berth and airconditioning unit under the berth. Up 3 steps to the main salon and lower helm. There is a settee to port that sleeps 1, beautifully varnished dining table with drop leaves. To starboard is a 2 person settee and forward is the lower helm. The salon is open to the lower galley giving the boat a very open and spacious feel. She has carpet in the main salon and tons of storage space for extended cruising. The Herreshoff interior has white bulkheads and teak trim-cabinets and drawers for a bright interior. Her cushions are blue as is the carpet and the curtains are a light blue. This Wilbur is the shorter cabin and larger cockpit version.
The galley is very well equipped with a stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressure water, 3 burner hillerage propane stove with oven and broiler, Norcold refrigeration and freezer (12V and 110V). There is plenty of counter and cabinet space for food preparation and storage.

3 anchors - 33lb Bruce, 22 Danforth and a 45lb fisherman with 30' of chain and 300' of rode, new 2010 bimini for flybridge as well as helm cover, house window covers, toe rail covers, canvas extention for cockpit off the back of the house, fiberglass deck, stainless steel bow rail with side stanchions and double life lines reaching back to the cockpit, dinghy davits, teak swim platform, 6 opening SS ports, 4 opening windows in the main salon, hatch over the v-berth and a center opening windshield. There is a large storage box in the cockpit that serves as an aft seat as well as holding life jackets, chairs and any other misc stuff. She has a nice compliment of teak trim - hand rails, eye brow, toe rail, rub rail etc.
She is the "Weekender" with the longer cockpit and shorter house. She is unique with 3 steering stations, one in the cockpit, one in the salon and one on the flybridge. The present owner has loved her since 2002.
