This yacht display stellar characteristics that will please any performance sailor. The center cockpit models are very popular because of there ease of sail and the large amount of living area below and above deck. It is really important to note that this boat has been totally rebuilt from the deck up, this model of Irwin do not point well, this one will sail 32 degres into the wind. This 44 Irwin is sloop rigged, but with new larger mast and fully battend mainsail the boat has become a sailboat that can point into the wind, unlike standard Irwins. With the new mast the boat can accomodate the cutter rig, head sail is on furling systems. The mainsail has one of the best in boom furling worth $35,000 (Schaffer boom furling) for ease of sailing and is a fully battened mainsail.
