Hunter 23

This freshwater only Hunter 23 is heads above most Hunter 23's that you find.  Well maintained the interior with fabric and wood comprising most of the interior.  this is a Hunter 23 that you can take pride in owning.    She is a good performer and forgiving giving hours and hours of enjoyable sailing.     Lots of sailors started with the Hunter 23 and all will tell you that the boat delivered everything they needed in a trailerable, manageable boat. 

Nicely trailerable behind a reasonable size vehicle and is a manageable size for the experienced or otherwise. Enjoyable.  The shallow keel not only allows you to get her on the trailer easily, but allows the boat to sail upwind nicely and even do that in less than 3 feet of water. Great for gunk holing. Also pleasing to look @ with her sleek lines.

Equipped with an excellent 1999 Yamaha 6hp outboard with custom extended shifter control and galvanized trailer, besides the normal gear, this Hunter 23 includes a new mainsail and headsail purchased in 2007  (NOT 20 year old sails !!), Pettit Trinidad SR bottom paint, sides restriped in 2009, an asymmetrical Spinnaker, Whisker Pole, Mast Raising System, depth finder, pressure water system, galley with sink & alcohol stove, 120 volt AC outlets, full covers for teak, Bimini, screen cover for cabin and cockpit area over the bimini, battery charger, windex, portable head, tempurpedic foam on the V-berth, cockpit cushions, windscoop, fire extinguisher, flair gun and a 5 step hinged transom ladder that goes deep into the water.  Few Hunter 23's are as well equipped or maintained. This is a Hunter 23 worth having !

The shallow but efficient wing keel not only allows you to get her on the trailer easily, but allows the boat to sail upwind nicely and even do that in less than 3 feet of water. Great for gunk holing in those areas that others "wish" they could take advantage of.
