Gulfstar Motoryacht EAD

The Gulfstar 49 MY was a further refinement of the company'spopular 48 Motor Yacht. Introduced in 1984 with 350-hp Perkins diesels,the MK-2 version in 1985 featured optional 435-hp 6-71 GM diesels and a unique aft stateroom design with the bed fitted against the forward bulkhead. Updates in 1986(MK-3) include a standard radar arch and standard engines (375-hp Cats) and the 1987 offered (GM 6V92TA 525hp.) diesels as an option. In all models,the main salon and aftdeck are the entertaining area. A fully enclosed and teak paneled indoor living area with wing doors and generous dimensions, at the deckhouse level,where the salon is normally found,the area has been converted into a huge galley and dinette.Additional features include a spacious stand up engine room and a small aft deck for line-handling.Cruising speed with the 6V92TA' s 17.5 knots and (about 21 Knots top)
