Tanquility is a great example of this Gary Mull designed performance cruiser built by renowned RI manufacturer, Tillotson-Pearson. Tranquility has benefited from five seasoned owners who maintained and updated her to the highest standards. Her interior is varnished and looks great. Equipment list include a Sea Recovery water maker, dodger, and bimini. With a free standing mast and fully battened fractional sloop rig and all running rigging leading back to an electric halyard winch in the cockpit, this boat is easy and safe to handle. She has been repowered (2012) with a 3 cyl. yanmar with only 150 hours. Call for more details on recent upgrades.

The Freedom 38 accommodates six in two private staterooms and a covertable dinettee. The cabins are spacious and the ergonomics are designed for real comfort. 6'4" headroom is unusual for a boat this good looking. Varnished teak interior is complimented by Ash hull ceiling strips and white foam-back vinyl overhead panels. All contribute to making this design elegant and inviting. Numerous opening portlights and overhead hatches add light and air. The Espar forced hot air diesel cabin heater is ducted to all cabins including the heat and this expensive option will extend your boating season significantly.
The Forward Cabin: has a vee berth forward with insert. A large overhead deck hatch and opening ports make this cabin bright and airy. Drawers and lockers provide ample storage capacity. There is a private entry into the head.
The Head: is spacious with access from the main salon and fwd cabin. Two opening ports and an overhead hatch ventilate this area well. The fresh water electric marine toilet is plumbed to a custom holding tank which may be discharged at the deck or overboard through a macerator pump. The shower drains to a integrated box with float switch.
Main Salon: There is a straight settee to stbd and L-shaped settee to port which converts to a large berth. A bulkhead-mounted table with storage has two leaves which fold out to sit six for dinner or fold up out of the way. Opening ports, fixed windows(replaced 2015) and a large overhead hatch makes this area bright.
The Galley is aft to port and open to the main salon and convenient to the companionway and cockpit. The U-shape provides lots of storage and counter space for meal preparation. A custom trap door accesses a waste basket outside the galley. Included is a three burner Tasco propane stove with oven, stove cover, stove guard, and pot holders. Frigiboat refrigeration has a freezer compartment in 6 cu ft ice box and is controlled by Temptech electronic thermostat. A double basin stainless steel sink has a Indiana Brass faucet and a Seagull water filter provides purified water. A Ultra Whisper Sea Recovery water maker is located in the galley as well.
Navigation station: Located across from the galley, there is a large chart table and swing-out seat. Well organized 110V AC and 12V DC panel and electronics installation make this area the hub of boat activity.
The Aft Cabin has a fore and aft double berth and opening ports provide cross ventilation. Custom hatches are provided in the overhead panel and through the aft bulkhead for easy access to both areas.

Deck,Rigging and Sails
The Freedom 38 is very well respected for her sailing performance. The 38 is a longer version of the Mull Freedom 36 and the add-on swim platform adds to performance substantially as well as the aesthetic appeal and convenience of boarding and safety. The free standing carbon fiber mast with fully battened mainsail in a recent Doyle Stack pack cover and self-tending Camberspar jib deliver a simple, powerful, and easily controlled sail plan for easy short-handed performance cruising. All sail controls are lead through stoppers to the cockpit and may be controlled by the Electric Halyard winch. Traveler is Harken and traveler control lines are fed through the dodger to the cockpit. One Barient two speed self tailing winch and one Electric Anderson two speed self tailing winch are located in the cockpit. The deck is white with gray non-skid.
