Bruce Roberts started in the marine business as a designer, founding Bruce Roberts Yacht Design in 1966 in Brisbane, Australia, after studying at the Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology. He opened his US design office in 1972. He has designed a huge range of boats, both sail and power, built in materials from fiberglass, to steel, aluminum, and even wood epoxy. Since then he has opened offices in Holland and Ireland. Bruce provides careful and personal service with each set of plans, and supervises each staff. His professional attitude and brilliant designs have made him a world leader in his field.
