Constructed in fibreglass with foam core. She has plenty of classic features with teak railings, and stainless fittings on deck. Teak laid decks, laid new in 2001. Centreboard keel – operated via a winch that is inside the yacht, forward of the saloon in a locker.
Winches: 1 x Lewmar 64 self-tailing, hydraulic, set on deck portside of the mast – for halyards. 2 x Lewmar 65 self-tailing, electric, by helm at cockpit, for genoa sheets. 4 x Lewmar 52 self-tailing, manual, 2 each side of cockpit for the staysail and runners. 1 x Lewmar 46 self-tailing, manual, set central aft of helm at cockpit, for the mainsheet.
Anchor windlasses: Muir hydraulic and a Muir electric, both set on deck at bow, 110 mtr chain, newly galvanised 2010, 14 mm.
Engine and Mechanical
210 hp Caterpillar 3208 diesel engine from 2001. This was recently completely rebuilt in 2011 by the official Caterpillar service centre in Palma de Mallorca (invoices upon request). The engine has only approximately 130 hours (September 2012). Hundested variable pitch propeller – controls at helm. Fuel tankage: 3600 litres (in 2 tanks).
MACHINERY Main generator: Onan - Cummins 22.5 kW generator with sound shield; new 2011 (only 185 hours September 2012). The start panel is by the chart table. The unit is situated in the main engine room aft.
Second generator: 5.5 kW Mase - Kubota generator, from 2008. Unit located under the saloon floor. Approx 500 hours at September 2012.
Hydraulic power pack - Lewmar Commander powerpack for the hydraulic winches, anchor windlass and the bowthruster.
Bowthruster – hydraulic unit powered from a PTO on the main engine.
Air-conditioning: Condaria air conditioning fan coil units, controls at each cabin (new 2011).
Plumbing and Electrical Systems
PLUMBING Sea recovery watermaker; making approx 80 Litres per hour; (new LP & HP pumps in 2011) - unit installed under the saloon floor. Water capacity: 1,900 litres (in 2 tanks). Hart Systems “tank tender” for water tanks. Tankwatch 4 monitor system for the blackwater tank. 4 x Tecma electric toilets. Hot water supplied via 220v with large capacity tank under saloon floor. 24v bilge pumps. Grey water and black water tanks.

Interior and Accommodations
General The interior is a masterpiece of intricate joinery, a tribute to the gracious tradition of genteel yachting and American craftsmanship. Yet the atmosphere is entirely unpretentious, comfortable with inviting sofas and also with full entertainment systems.
Accommodation is for six guests in three double berth cabins, each with queen size beds and ensuite bathrooms. There are two further cabins with single beds for either crew of family as you wish.
All three main guest cabins are equipped with Condaria air conditioning fan coil units and DVD players with plasma flat screen.
The forward cabin offers a nice size double berth set on the port side; a flat-screen is TV mounted on the ceiling facing the bed; beneath the bed there is a lot of drawer space; on the starboard side of the cabin (from aft) is a separate door into the ensuite shower cubicle, a separate door to a ensuite toilet area, a large hanging locker, and a wash-basin unit with locker; forward of the bed is an L shaped sofa. Blue curtains. Blue pattern carpet. 3 x hull ports give extra light and ventilation. Large overhead hatch can provide emergency exit as well as light and ventilation – it is fitted with a fly-screen / black-out shade.
A door leads aft to the central passage. Aft of the forward cabin, set on port side is a generous double bedded guest cabin. The bed is positioned outboard. There is a dressing table with wash-basin, seating forward of the bed and a TV. This cabin has plenty of cupboard space, drawers (under the bed) and hanging lockers for two. The cabin has two hull ports and two overhead hatches. Ports with curtains. Hatches fitted with screens (mosquito / black out). Forward of the cabin a door leads to its own private en suite fully equipped bathroom with stall shower.
Off the central passage on the starboard side is a twin cabin with upper and lower beds and a locker (suitable for crew of kids) and there is a separate single cabin (captains) aft. Between the cabins is the day / guest (crew) head and shower.
From the passage a single step leads up to the slightly raised saloon area. The large saloon offers a lot of day light and yet is also warm and intimate. There are eight windows set in the coach-roof, two hull ports and also two large overhead hatches. There are curtains on the windows and ports and blinds on the hatches. Central forward in the salon is a locker unit with lamp. On the port side is a low L shape sofa with coffee table and a locker outboard. Aft of the seating is the bar area (sink, ice-maker and fridge) with lockers for glasses and drinks. Central aft of the saloon the companionway leads to the cockpit. Next to this on port side is a locker housing the TV and entertainment systems, above that a locker for crockery. On the starboard side of the saloon there is a raised seating area with a lovely large dining table which has lockers in its base. Under raised saloon floor are various systems and the tanks.
The fully equipped open galley is aft and starboard of the saloon. It has generous storage and good work space. Equipment includes:- Miele extractor hood, over the Miele electric 4 ring hob, under which is the Action 505 electric oven. Miele washing machine. Thor microwave oven. Stainless steel sink unit with draining board. There are three fridges and a freezer (all front opening s/s units by Liebherr). There is also a hull port for extra light and ventilation.
The full equipped navigation corner is on port side aft of the saloon, with the navigator facing forward. Here you will find the main navigation and communication equipment. The main electric control panel is situated aft of the navigator seat. Aft of the panel is a locker housing the chargers and inverter. Aft again is a desk / locker unit with the printer and space for a computer.
In board from the navigation area and lockers, there are two opening panels giving good access to the engine room (which is under the cockpit).
The main owner cabin is located in the stern and can be reached via the corridor on port side past the chart table. This is a large full beam cabin with centreline king size bed, and also offers a settee, dressing table including wash-basin, and plenty of cupboard space. The fittings throughout the boat are brass and the finish is high gloss. This with the cream carpet gives a really lively effect, particularly as she is well varnished and well maintained. There are six ports in the stern area and a large overhead hatch. There is a good size owners ensuite bathroom with stall shower.
Cockpit – with large central teak table, sun awning / tent. Helm position at aft end of cockpit, stowage locker under seat. Stowage box at aft deck. Deck shower.
Large “water-proof” Aqua Vision TV at cockpit – at forward end, forward of companionway and under the sprayhood, set in teak box and hinges up / down. Brother fax / printer / scanner. Flat screen TV in each of the main guest cabins (3). Sharp flat screen TV at saloon (in a locker beside the companionway). Bose music system with speakers in saloon. Aft cabin with its own Denon music system. Two guest cabins each have a car type cd player.
Communication and Navigation
Simrad – Robertson AP20 dual station autopilot, AP22 unit at helm. Raymarine E 90 W touch screen radar & chart plotter with screen at helm, new 2010. B & G Hydra 2000 instrumentation, 2 x MFD at helm and 1 at chart table. Furuno GPS – GP31 navigator at chart table. Shipmate RS8300 VHF radio at chart table. Handheld VHF radios. Sea 322 SSB single sideband radio, at chart table. Thrane and Thrane Mini M sat phone unit at chart table (not in commission).
Mast, Rigging and Sails
MAST and RIGGING Aluminium mast with two sets of spreaders. Aluminium boom. Spars painted cream colour. Standing rigging: Spencer’s rod from 2006. Mainsail is a full battened type with cars on mast and a stowage bag / cover with lazy jacks for easy stowage. Reckmann hydraulic furling unit for the headstay. Reckmann manual furling unit for the inner cutter stay. Mainsheet track is set on a s/s support aft of the cockpit (helps leave cockpit area free). Navtec vang & backstay adjusters in s/s with control panel at pedestal in cockpit. Stainless fittings on mast at gooseneck and vang. Jockey pole (only used nowadays for launching and lifting dinghy!) Running rigging: Marlow Spectra. Running backstays (for use in heavy weather and with staysail.
Tender: 4.2 m Zodiac tender with 50 hp Suzuki outboard, new 2010.
Deck fittings & gear: Hydraulic stern boarding gangway. Teak and stainless side boarding ladder set on starboard side. Stainless framework and canvas for cockpit sun bimini and enclosure. Sprayhood. Beige covers for exterior varnish areas. Fenders. Warps.
Safety: Ten-person Zodiac liferaft in canister, stows on deck. EPIRB 406 Mhz. Jonbuoy. All safety gear is “in date”.
Interior: Sweptaway is sold complete with bedding, crockery, cutlery, utensils, glasses and general household items as on board.

There was also a refit in England at camper and Nicholson yard in 2001. The hull was sandblasted to receive new coating, at that time she also had a new engine and new teak decks.
