In great turn key condition throughout and with the benifit of a recent survey.
U.K. VAT paid. Currently stored on hard in Ionian Greece.
I bought this boat new, having spent 3 days comparing other more well known manufactures that were exibiting at the Southampton boat show. After ordering, for delivery in Antibe 1986, I was told by more experienced older friends that I should cancel my order and lose my deposit. "It's an unknown product" "how do you know how it sails" it could fall to pieces in a few years" "you'll lose your shirt". If I'm one thing, I'm stubbon, and like most men I believed I was right ! I did however call the concessionair and insist on sailing the boat show exibit at the end of the show. (along with 2 condeming sailers).
3 days later their tune had changed. "It sails like a witch". "How much did you say you paid". "The woodwork is fabulous". We did all agree that depreciation was an unknown, as the mark was not established. The build quality has been legendary and i"ve since seen many a simular aged well known example in a sorry state.
Feeling O.K.has spent all her life in the Med apart from one winter in the Canarys. She's been professionally maintained and updated throughout life. She has been used spareingly, for holidays, and always spent the winter drying out on the hard.
She was initially supplied with an optional tall rig and slab reefing, with main sail hoisted from the mast. However a refit in 2005 saw her fitted, I believe uniquely, with an 'Easyreef ' ' Maxiroach ' vertical battened furling mainsail. (The manufacturers slogan of this patented system is "The power is back")The roller reefing genoa was also uprated at this time from 105% to 150%, giving superb close haul performance. A move of the track from the cockpit to the coachroof ensured all lines lead back by the german system, freeing up access to the saloon under sail and makeing passage sailing in rough weather safer. She remains a lot of fun, easly handled by one, yet very safe for a family in bigger seas
Footnote: She has spent 4 years in the Cycledes and Dodecanese and weathered many a Meltimi
