"LOON" is a Clive Dent-designed classic Pilothouse Motorsailer, custom built in Massachusetts. Her current owner has kept her well maintained and invested in many upgrades over the years. This yacht is one of the hard to find PILOTHOUSE motorsailer models, as the Cape Dory Owners Association website notes.

"The Cape Dory 300 does it all--cutting through chop at 8 knots under power and on the wind, her powerful full size sail plan tacks within a remarkable 90° while her full keel keeps you on track. The helmsman stays out of foul weather in the pilothouse with 360° visibility and with main and jib sheets close at hand. Her generous 11'5" beam translates into an ingenious interior with a 7' galley, a large ice box, a two burner stove with oven plus a family size dinette. This vessel has one of the largest V-berths in a 30' sailboat! The Cape Dory 300 boasts a cockpit that has fold away seating and will be your family's center of action. A hard back and custom doors make this boat special and make moving from the pilothouse to the cabin a breeze.
