1986 Amazon Pilot House Cutter $199,000.00 Ilari is a 1986 Amazon 44 Pilothouse cutter built in steel by master steel shipwright Dieter Pollack of SP Metal Craft to the design of Graham Shannon. The hull is conically developed with large radius chines which give the boat the appearance of a rounded bilge vessel. On first seeing the boat out of the water it is hard to tell she is not built in fiberglass due to the fairness of the hull. For a voyaging vessel steel is a superior construction material due to it’s strength and resilience. This yacht has been designed for maximum comfort and safety with a well protected cockpit, a pilot house with inside steering, and a broad clear foredeck. With a long fin keel and skeg hung rudder the Amazon 44 will fulfill the requirements of the most demanding offshore sailor and would be an ideal platform to cruise the west coast and beyond. The vessel was hauled in 2005 and the underwater surfaces were taken down to bare metal and recoated with Devoe Epoxy Coating. At the same time the top sides and deck were also recoated. Please see the photos in the full specs.section of the listing.
