A gorgeous, black double-ended hull with recently painted decks and tan canvas, ARTEMIS is a classic cutter-rigged cruising yacht with a custom teak bowsprit and a boom gallows. ARTEMIS has fiberglass decks eliminating the teak deck problems found on many other Tayanas and, of course, significantly reducing maintainence time. She has been well cared for and is definitely worth seeing if you are looking for a well found, reasonably priced cruising yacht.
At the bow there is a divided chain locker, aft of which is a wide V-berth. The forward cabin has an opening hatch and forward and port side opening ports for good ventilation. There are cabinets above the berth on port and open shelves on the starboard side & additional cabinets and drawers under the berth. Next aft on the port side is the head with a separate shower stall. There is an opening port in the head and plenty of storage in cabinets. Across from the head there are additional, spacious storage cabinets. The main saloon follows aft with facing settees P/S. The port settee converts to a double berth. The table is centered with 2 drop leaves and storage under. There is a combination of shelving and cabinets above both settees. Aft of the port settee is the "U" shaped galley equipped with a 3 burner stove and oven; large double sink; sizeable refrigerator; trash bin; and abundant storage for dry goods, utensils and cleaning supplies. The companionway is on center with engine room under. Steps are on a good angle for safe climbing. The electric panel is over engine room. The forward facing nav station is on starboard side of companionway in front of the quarter berth. Both the galley and the nav station have opening and aft facing ports. It is a very comfortable and workable layout.
