For those not familiar with Scanmar Yachts they where a high quality builder of sail boats built in Sweden between the years 1982 and 1988. During that time they built 100 35 CC's as well as many more in several other sizes and configurations. Scanmar was awarded the "Blue Sign" by the Swedish "Board of Shipping" for excellence in safety, seaworthiness and quality of construction.
Of all the Scanmar 35's built this is a harder to find "shoal draft" version drawing 3'10". These boats are all built with a beautiful mahogany interior including bulkheads and all interior cabinetry. Outwardly the boat has a very sleek modern appearance even by today's standards. This particular boat has had been extremely well cared for and is an exceptional example of a Scanmar 35 and will serve one lucky customer for many years to come.
Cockpit & Deck
As you board "Sante" you will be greeted by wide uncluttered decks. As you move forward you will note stays are far inboard providing for easy forward access as well as an extremely tight sheeting angle. All lines including control lines for the ridged boom vang, are lead aft on the coach roof to port and starboard "Anderson" winches. At the boat is a large anchor locker and anchor roller with a 35# CQR anchor with chain and 150' 5/8" rode.
The cockpit is large and deep with teak planking on seats and a beautiful teak grate covering the sole. There are both a bimini and dodger with stainless steel grab rails for all weather protection and both are in excellent condition. Aft of the cockpit is a transom boarding gate with a deep Stainless Steel swim ladder making water access convenient.
Instrumentation is both bulkhead and pedistal mounted with engine controls mounted on the starboard side of the cockpit combing with "single lever" throttle and shifter.

When stepping below you are greeted by the warm glow of a beautifully maintained, aged mahogany interior built with quality craftsman. The large fixed windows, 3 opening ports and hatch provide plenty of natural light and ventilation making this area very comfortable.
To the starboard and slightly aft is the large head which has a good size vanity and plenty of storage as well as a hanging locker and handheld shower. For convenience the standard head has been replaced with an electric head.
Just forward of the head is the nav station with a chart table, 12v electric panel, chart plotter, radar, VHF and plenty of storage.
The Salon is quite large with a full length settee to starboard and U-shaped settee with table to port. When converting this settee to a double berth will provide for sleeping accommodations for 7. There is additional storage beneath the both settees along with battery storage. Above the settees are beautiful mahogany lockers and shelves providing for easily accessible storage as well.
Forward of the salon is a large V-berth with filler cushion. The water tank is located beneath the berth along with storage. Again above the berth is beautiful mahogany cabinetry with slatted mahogany hull liner and just inside to starboard is a hanging locker. Privacy for this cabin is provided by a sliding door.
Passing back through the salon and to port is a pass-thru galley. This is one of the larger galleys I have seen in a boat of this size. There is lots of storage both above and below the counter. There is 2 burner propane stove with oven, and microwave built in below. For cold food there is a large Stainless Steel icebox and for clean up duties a large Stainless Steel sink.
Moving aft through the passageway you enter the aft cabin. Here you are once again greeted by a bright, airy cabin with 2 opening ports and a large 2 foot square overhead hatch. The berth is the full width of the stern with storage beneath and a large hanging locker in the passageway.
The cabin sole is teak & holly through-out the boat with extensive use of beautifully varnished mahogany both on the bulkheads, hull liner and all the cabinetry alike. This boat is with out question the finest example of a Scanmar that I have seen and for one lucky person.......... A GREAT FIND.
