When built, the original owner specified he wanted this ship built for a single handler or a couple with plenty of storage and a sea friendly layout. There is a forward cabin featuring a large V Berth, aft port is the U-Shaped galley, across from galley is the enclosed head compartment, up and aft is the wheel house featuring the lower helm station, a double settee to port and single seat to starboard, aft and down is the aft cabin featuring a double berth to starboard, storage to port and a large hanging locker with shelving.
The aft deck features the outside steering station, teak rail with life line, teak rub rail with stainless protective strip, teak laid over a solid fiberglass decks.mast pulpit, dorade vents, sail covers for main and mizzen, roller furling jib.
The forward cabin features a double V Berth with two water tanks stored beneath as well as the holding tank which is forward. There are storage lockers along both port and starboard sides, storage beneath the V-Berth and more storage lockers and shelving aft of the berth. There is a large bulkhead mirror on the forward bulkhead, 110v outlets, 12v lighting, four fixed windows and one large opening screened hatch overhead. The main water tank is located just aft of the berth under the sole.
The large U-Shaped galley features ample counter space for meal preparation, a Shipmate propane three burner stove with oven, the refrigeration system is located in a top loading well insulated box, there is a large deep stainless steel sink, hot/cold pressure water, a good size trash bin, plenty of natural lighting with a large fixed window and opening overhead hatch.
Smartly located just down from the wheel house, the enclosed head compartment features a Blake and Sons manual flush toilet, sink with hot/cold pressure water, storage, tiled flooring, one large fixed window, opening hatch overhead with two solar lights, 12v lighting, sliding door for privacy.
Richly paneled in teak, the wheelhouse provides 360 degree visibility for the helmsman and features a steering position with full instrumentation, compass, depth sounder, etc. An extra large navigation/chart table with storage beneath and engine controls are at the helmsman's fingertips. There is a large storage pantry under the chart table with shelving. Overhead lighting as well as a chart light are provided. Ventilation is provided by a large sliding sunroof type hatch, and the two wheelhouse doors port and starboard. There is a double settee to port with a fold down table, to starboard is a single seat. Engine room access is a hatch located in the sole of the wheelhouse.
Comfort and more storage is what the aft cabin offers the weary captain. A large berth to port with a flat screen TV, to starboard is storage drawers, shelving, a huge hanging locker which contains shelving as well. Aft is a bulkhead mirrored door to yet more storage, just before it is access to the autopilot steering. There are three opening ports offering plenty of natural lighting and ventilation as well as 12v lighting.
The deck and superstructure are of 100% hand layup GRP construction with teak overlaid deck, including the forecabin top. All exterior trim, including wheelhouse doors, handrails and the overhead hatch trim are of teak. Window are rubber-framed toughened glass, stainless steel stanchions with teak rails. Boarding gates port and starboard. Four heavy duty mooring cleats, four heavy duty chocks plus a heavy duty sampson post for anchoring. There are two propane tank lockers, port side is connected to the system, starboard is used for storage.
Forward anchor is a CQR type with 240' of rode, the stern anchor is a Danforth with 200' of rode.
There are two dorade vents on the cabintop to aid in natural ventilation. Mast pulpits add to the safety of sail handling while alone.
Wheel steering station is located on the aft deck along with engine controls, ships bell, two Lewmar #30 winches, mainsheet traveler and two bronze steps to cabin top.
